The MSK and MBK programs have shaped me into the person I am today. When I first started high school, I felt very nervous and scared about what the future would hold. However, once I joined MSK, those feelings faded away. They showed me what to do, how to reach my goals in school, and how to succeed in life. I realize that support like this is rare to find.
As time went on, I learned about MBK. Even though I wasn’t able to participate fully, they still treated me like the big brothers I needed and continue to do so. For me, MSK and MBK are truly the best place to be.

Being a mentor for My Sister’s Keeper has been one of the most fulfilling experiences of my life. It has given me a deep sense of pride to be able to give back to my community and make a positive impact on the lives of young Black girls. Mentoring these brilliant young women is something I’ve always dreamed of, and having the opportunity to guide them as they work toward achieving their dreams is truly a gift. Through this program, I’ve not only been able to help them grow, but I’ve also grown as a person, learning the value of patience, leadership, and compassion. My Sister’s Keeper has reminded me of the power of sisterhood and the importance of uplifting and empowering the next generation.Monet Goode
